The Data Immersive Visualization Environment (DIVE) is a theater located in the Neuroscience Research Building and operated by the UCLA Brain Mapping Center. It features a curved screen that is over 8 feet high, 28 feet wide and bends at an angle of 140 degrees. A single wide image is projected onto the screen by three Mirage 2000 3-chip DLP projectors. The Superview overlay system allows for four additional video signals to be projected on top of the main screen in windows of variable size. The DIVE also has a Sanyo PLC-XU 4000 XGA Projector that projects on to a 10’ diagonal retractable flat projection screen that is housed in the ceiling. The room can be configured to seat up to 50 people and can be used for presentations, teleconferences and demonstrations.
